Peter and Alanna Adler were about to begin a new life in a new house. Ambitious and lively realtor Colette la Prate had found them their home, a beautiful yellow house avoided by all who knew its history. Once the front doors are closed, a stranger appears screaming to keep them open, Dr. Henry Rhames. He leans his forehead to the closed doors and mutters, "Now you are trapped too." The tale he tells is too great. That they have now become prisoners in a world of endless connected rooms, false windows, of a world of inescapable captivity. Now every door and every window holds the promise of a new threat. Hope is enlivened only through the effort to escape, to live. Their efforts bind them as this newfound world pushes them ever further toward the limits of their thresholds.

Over the Threshold

Two years ago, realtor Colette la Prate and her clients, Peter and Alanna Adler, became prisoners of a dimension of unending rooms. They took up instantly with sixty-year resident, Dr. Henry Rhames, who began to lead them through the maze of random chance. Their ultimate goal is freedom, a return to the world they came from, but the seeming force behind the chaotic realm that entombs them and the people who dwell there have a different plan... A sanctimonious madman, with a mysterious connection to Dr. Rhames, in a gutted concave of vast space, has created a society filled with lost souls seeking some means of direction. He offers an alternative form of escape: surrender to their unpredictable prison.
"So what do we do?"
"We bide our time. Make our escape as calmly and as obscurely as possible... you must make him understand that we will stay together."
"Wake up, Alanna..." says Peter. "They’re gone."
